An internally toothed spur-gear and pinion

An internally toothed spur-gear and pinion. With ordinary spur-gears (such as represented in 24) the direction of rotation is opposite; but with the internally toothed gear, the two rotate in the same direction; and with the same strength of tooth the gears are capable of transmitting greater force, because more teeth are engaged.

Only the input is driven; every other part of this model moves by physics (MuJoCo), and its ratios are measured. Run it live, change its parameters, or switch the friction off to see the output stop.

Modelled as
a 36-tooth internal ring (module 0.8, pitch r 14.4) on a back web, a 16-tooth pinion inside it on a shaft 8.0 off centre; straight-flanked teeth as part pieces
Measured
ω_ring/ω_pinion = +0.4446 (same sense, +16/36 = 0.4444)
Notes
Only the pinion is motor-driven (30 rpm). Negative control: ring teeth out of contact → the ring stands (0.0000).
